The unknown sugar in pet food

Selecting the right food for your canine companion is crucial for their health and wellbeing. As a pet owner, you want to provide your dog with nutrition that supports their vitality and longevity. However, not all dog foods are created equal. In fact, some brands have been consistently rated poorly by experts and consumers alike due to concerns over ingredients, nutritional adequacy, and overall quality. Commercial dog food, especially dried dog food, is made largely from the waste products of the food industry, everything that doesn’t pass the standards needed, to be put in human food. Instead of throwing these waste products out, companies recycle them into dog (and other animal) food, using bones, gristle, rotting fruits and vegetables, and worst of all: dead, dying, and diseased animals to make the food your dog eats. To keep this subpar food from noticeably rotting, dog food companies use chemicals and preservatives to keep it seeming fresh, selling what would be trash to dog owners for a profit.

Most Kibbles contain between 25%-45% carbohydrates, which dogs have no nutritional need for.
Commercial kibble contained aflatoxins-toxic substances produced by fungus that can cause everything from allergies to digestive upset and cancer.

Kibble can include lot of plant based protein that’s not beneficial for your dog.
Most commercial processed foods contain added synthetic vitamins and minerals, which your dog body doesn’t absorb well and can be harmful long term.

Many kibble feeders dump pet food bags into a plastic container. Unfortunately, this can cause more harm than good. Remember those fats and oils? They build up inside the container and grow rancid, developing invisible mould.
